Running update - I haven't been running for almost 2 weeks now due to the flu aggravated by catarrhal otitis and sinusitis. As written in my last post, fortunately, it is not Covid.
Tomorrow morning I will get the last laboratory tests and if everything goes well, as my running doctor thinks, I will start my workouts again. At the end of the month, based on the progress made, I will decide which races to participate in.
December lights - This week the city is shining with holiday lights:
The cat, on the other hand, is not interested in Christmas lights and prefers to hide in the closet:
Glad to hear that you are feeling much better and I hope the doctor gives you the clearance to start running again.
ReplyDeleteThank you, I hope too. Tomorrow I will know.
DeleteI'm so sorry you're still not feeling well. Sounds like a bad bug got you! Glad it wasn't COVID, but geez, will we ever be able to get past this thing?
ReplyDeleteI'm still working on decorating. Your city looks very festive!
Now we live in a nightmare, every time I don't feel good I'am afraid I have covid even if I got the vaccine. You are right: will we ever be able to get past this thing?
Deletethe lights/decorations in your city are GORGEOUS!! i have to wrap my presents but otherwise, i am ready. good thing you did not have covid, i had it, it's not fun but i did not have to be in the hospital. i hope you continue to feel better and that you can start your workouts again!!
ReplyDeleteSorry you had the Covid, I hope you feel very good now.
DeleteI hope to come back to running tomorrow.
I hope you will get the green light from your running doctor tomorrow morning!
ReplyDeleteCould you do a little strength training in those two weeks or were you too unwell for that?
Love your photos! Amazing memory from 1977, too.
The doctor said: "total rest"! And I followed his "order"!
DeleteNow I hope he will say: "you can run"!
Amazing Photos For Sure - Stay Strong Brother Knight
ReplyDeleteCheers
Thank you very much.
DeleteIt's very good that you are feeling a lot better. Hopefully you'll be pounding the roads again soon. Your town looks very nice and festive for the holidays. Nice memories from the 70s. Have a good week, BK.
ReplyDeleteYes, the town looks very festive in this period and from Dec. 8th there will be little open markets in the main streets.

ReplyDeleteThank you very much. At home we have that Lady Cat and her son.
DeleteI love all the cheer the bright lights & holiday decorations bring to the season. I hope you’re feeling (and doing) better soon and will be back in your running shoes before much longer!

ReplyDeleteLove the cat, its a pretty one with a sweet face.
The decorations are beautiful, we don't have these like you do, we just have a Christmas Tree.
Happy you don't have Covid, guess you and your family are happy too. Get well so you can get back to running.
Thank you.
DeleteThe cat is pretty but not very friendly unlike her son (my favorite cat at home).
The covid here is a nightmare, when we don't feel good for same reason, even if we are vaccinated, we run to get the swab to be sure.
Auguri di pronta guarigione!
ReplyDeleteCarino il gattone...😉🐱
Grazie. E' una gattona. Un bel giorno si è infiltrata nel garage ed ha partorito 3 gattini in un cassetto. Uno lo abbiamo tenuto e gli altri 2 sono stati adottati da una coppia di amici.
DeleteLove all the holiday lights - so festive!
ReplyDeleteSorry that you are still not feeling well. Hopefully a few more days of rest will help you feel better.
Thank you.
DeleteYou are right but I hope that today is the last day of rest.
I love your holiday lights and hope you feel better soon - I was out for two weeks with the awful cold my husband kindly shared with me and I know how miserable it is.
ReplyDeleteThank you.

ReplyDeleteThe cat prefers to be lazy at home!
DeleteYes, very nice memories, after Leghorn I went to the Naval Base of La Spezia and one year later to Rome. After Rome my career in the Coast Guard started.

Zaman nasıl da hızlı, tam 44 yıl öncesine gittik. Ve durmuyor zaman. Neden koşuyorsunuz, hobi mi?
