Why Black Knight

The name Black Knight comes from this famous joke in roman slang. A man tells this story:
The Black Knight and the White Knight make a duel and the Black Knight kills the White Knight. Now the White Knight had 3 sons, they challenge the Black Knight to a duel and the Black Knight kills all of them. Now they had 3 sons each and the 9 White Knights challenge the Black Knight to a duel but the Black Knight kills of all them. Now they had 3 sons each and the 27 White Knights challenge the Black Knight to a duel but the Black Knight kills all of them.
Please stop the story, what do you mean, what is the moral?
The moral is: "Don't piss off the Black Knight"!!!!!!!!!

The Black Knight is back

Running update: After more than one year the Black Knight is back. From May 2020 to February 2021 I was only able to compete in virtual runs because, due to the pandemic, all the races in person have been cancelled.
On march 15th I underwent a surgical operation to remove an inguinal hernia. For this reason I had to stop my workouts for a whole month. Now I run regularly every other day but I have lost my usual "speed", at the moment my pace is much slower: I know I am old and I must take my time without being in hurry.
At last in Italy the Associations are organizing running races again but with a reduced number of participants, with staggered starts and mask at the start and at the finish line.
My goal is to run the Sovana - Sorano, on a very scenic path 10 km long, in august.

And now some pictures of the most ancient part of my city:

 Have a good running week

    1. Thank you. Races are returning but it's hard to race with the heat. I must find some competition in the evening.

    1. You are welcome. And very close to my city there are Rome and the beautiful green Tuscia (very soon I will post some photos of this "region").
I learned the lesson to take it easy after some injures.

    1. Thank you. The lives races are a good chance to compete and to spend part of the day in beautiful places eating local food in typical restaurants.

  7. Lovely photos. It's hard to come back to running after an internal operation so I'm glad you've been able to get back to it, even if the speed hasn't returned quite yet. Gently does it!

  12. Very lovely scenes from your city -- thanks for sharing with us!

I know it's frustrating, but you have to take the time to recover. That will help you eventually get more speed.

    1. Speriamo, ma non la vedo bene. Delle gare del Corrintuscia non se ne parla proprio e quelle del Corri nella Maremma hanno la scritta "work in progress".
