RUNNING UPDATE: Here summer is already come and the heat rules. For this reason now I make my workouts in early morning with a short stop at the fountain on the water-front to refresh myself (after the birds).
Until last month I ran in good company with my son but now he has to recover for a light pain on his neck.
Last week I succeeded in following my scheduled routine: running every other day 10 km but on Friday it was a nightmare because I was terribly weak for the second dose of Astrazeneca vaccine that I made the day before. I stopped myself after 5 km and spent all the day in the bed!
MY HOMETOWN: here are other pictures of it:
HAVE A GOOD WEEK
Love the photos from your hometown!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely best to run early to beat the heat, especially when it's super humid.
Some friends of mine make their workouts at 06.00 p.m.
DeleteI prefer to run alone instead of making it under the sun.
Running in the morning is good because of the coolness. I usually try to walk in the mornings. I still need to get my second shot of the Astrazeneca vaccine. Enjoyed seeing the photos of your hometown. Have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteWalking in the morning is wonderful. I often do it also to take some interesting picture.
DeleteBeautiful photos! I don't know if I will ever visit Italy, so it's great to live vicariously through you!
ReplyDeleteWe're having very warm weather here and it is much better to go early in the day.
Italy deserves a visit. Some blogger friends came here and we ran together.
DeleteHooray for your second dose! I felt terrible for a day after my first one but managed to go out running the morning after my second one (which was useful, as I got the alert suddenly and had it within a few hours, and I'd arranged to run with a friend in the morning).
ReplyDeleteGlad you got both the shots even if you had problems. After my first one I had hight temperature, headache and total weakness.
DeleteI love the early hours as well ;-) Those vaccines can wreak havoc, can't they? I had the Moderna vaccine, and both doses drained a lot of my energy for a few days...but a small price to pay for the better good, right?
ReplyDeleteYou are right, that is the right price to pay. After the first shot I felt terribly bad with high temperature, headache and total weakness.
DeleteGreat to hear from you! Glad all is well but I'm sorry to hear about the bad reaction to the vaccine. At least it is over now. Enjoy the summer!
ReplyDeleteIndeed summer is not my favorite season but ... I will survive!
