May 19, 2019 at 10.00 - km. 5.
This morning with Giorgio I have run the Race for the Cure, 5 km in the heart of Rome, a route tough but amazing.

Before the start there was a rainstorm (below I am under the heavy rain) but during the race the weather was clement even if part of the roads were in wet cobblestone.
After the event we had lunch in a beautiful restaurant in the famous Parioli district and below you can see the well deserved prize.
Official stats: 5 km. in 26:57 - 706 of 1241 overall - 30 of 62 age group.
How was your running Sunday?
Sounds like the perfect morning out! Well done on a good effort.
ReplyDeleteI agree a perfect day in beautiful places. About the effort I am again too slow.
DeleteWith regards to the wet cobblestones I can say that we enjoyed another adventure. Running through the old part of Rome is always wonderful. The average pace was good, considering the hard uphill at the 4th km. Not to mention of your last two races: since May 5 you have been running a race a week!
ReplyDeleteI have to choose between Celleno and Bolsena races, which will be held respectively on 9 and 29 June.
I saw a lot of foreign people there in the restaurant. Thanks again for the delicious lunch. I was also interested in the church that we visited.
Another beautiful day: sport, tourism and good food, the perfect mix.
DeleteCelleno or Bolsena? Both of course!
It looks like everyone was having a good time!
ReplyDeleteOMG, those desserts look AMAZING. Right up my alley!
Good time because the route was in the most ancient part of Rome. Those dessert had .... short life!
DeleteIt looks like it was a great race, despite the rain! Also that post-race treat looks super yummy!
ReplyDeleteAnd also the pasta and carpaccio we ate before the dessert were delicious.
