Why Black Knight

The name Black Knight comes from this famous joke in roman slang. A man tells this story:
The Black Knight and the White Knight make a duel and the Black Knight kills the White Knight. Now the White Knight had 3 sons, they challenge the Black Knight to a duel and the Black Knight kills all of them. Now they had 3 sons each and the 9 White Knights challenge the Black Knight to a duel but the Black Knight kills of all them. Now they had 3 sons each and the 27 White Knights challenge the Black Knight to a duel but the Black Knight kills all of them.
Please stop the story, what do you mean, what is the moral?
The moral is: "Don't piss off the Black Knight"!!!!!!!!!

Covid - October

Covid: I finally recovered from Covid but it was hard, I had fever, sore throat, cough and weakness. The treatment consisted of anti-inflammatories, mucolytics and food supplements.

This week I started to run again. The workouts were slow but the feeling is positive.

Unfortunately I missed last Sunday's race characterized by breathtaking climbs that I had carefully prepared and I will certainly not return to racing before the second half of December.

October 2023: only 9 training sessions for a total of 100.6 km (62,5 m);

October 1977 memories: I joined the Coast Guard:

October 1999 memories: Urbs Mundi half marathon through a spectacular route in the historic center of Rome:

  1. I wonder if being an athlete helped you recover. I mean, that kind of lung strength and everything from running. Anyway, glad to see you are back and kicking!

The worst experience was the terrible painful sore throat.

  4. Good progress with the running considering you are in recovery mode from not being well! I think that just goes to show the great fitness level and good health you already have as a base.

  7. 100km in a month where you were ill is fabulous! I'm glad you have some other races lined up in December. By then, I'm sure you will be fit enough again.
That photo from 1977 looks like from 1877!

I miss that time. The period in the Coast Guard was great.
We are friends again and sometimes we organize meetings to spend some hours or one day together.

  15. I am so thankful that you are feeling better! Also, that was such a great photo you shared from when you were in the coast guard. Just standing on a large sailed ship is fun, but I am envious of your time spent out on the water!

Indeed I spent more time in the port than on a boat. I was a dock-boatswain an my job was to allocate moorings for ships and control the maneuvers in the port.

  19. Oh no, we just can't be free of Covid. Sorry to hear you had it, but glad you're feeling better now. It takes a lot from you, so working back into your exercise routine, may take some time. Don't over due. I just got the latest shot about a month ago.
