Why Black Knight

The name Black Knight comes from this famous joke in roman slang. A man tells this story:
The Black Knight and the White Knight make a duel and the Black Knight kills the White Knight. Now the White Knight had 3 sons, they challenge the Black Knight to a duel and the Black Knight kills all of them. Now they had 3 sons each and the 9 White Knights challenge the Black Knight to a duel but the Black Knight kills of all them. Now they had 3 sons each and the 27 White Knights challenge the Black Knight to a duel but the Black Knight kills all of them.
Please stop the story, what do you mean, what is the moral?
The moral is: "Don't piss off the Black Knight"!!!!!!!!!

Tarquinia - 10 km of the Sea

Race - Tarquinia 10 km of the SeaOn Sunday I ran the "10 km of the Sea", a round trip race on a totally flat route, from Tarquinia Lido to the protected natural area of Saline.
Flat routes are not my favorite, I prefer races with uphills and downhills because they allow changes of pace and make me more competitive against those who don't practice running as their main sport.
Departure at 10:00 a.m. under a bright sun, a very competitive pack and the lack, by my precise choice, of speedworks (I want to avoid injuries due to overexertion) saw me running the entire race in the last pack with a regular pace.
Stats:
10 km in 58:27 (5:50/km – 9:24/m);
204 of 226 overall;
13 of 14 age group (65/69 y.o.).
The swag included a technical shirt and a jar of honey.
Here are some photos:

    1. The first in my a.g. ran the 10 km. in 42:00.
      The course was beautiful, near the sea and inside the natural reserve but .... I didn't have the time to enjoy the landscape....

  2. Extraordinary architecture. I wonder how many people throughout the ages have stopped there for lunch.

    1. In the province of Viterbo (the so called Tuscia region) the races are not crowded because very tough and the competition of the races in Rome is very strong.
      Difficult to see 200 participants all together but this was a flat route.
      Here we always get food as swag and prize.

      Unfortunately they love football as most of italian people. I don't, I like rugby.

    1. If the route had hills, as in nearby towns, the runners would be 100/120.

  16. Congrats on the run, even if it's flat. The important thing is you did it, and didn't get hurt. That's a big win in my opinion. What a fantastic place for lunch with family afterwards. Beautiful!!
