However the treatments are not finished because I have to take cortisone for another week.
Unfortunately this problem won't allow me to participate in an interesting 10km race on next sunday but I hope to be ready the following sunday for a distance of km. 5.3 through a demanding route. I think positive considering the short distance.
In these 10 days of rest I took my oldest grandson (14 y.o.) to a meeting of goalkeepers:
I went to Marta where I met a nice little family, Tuscania and Tolfa (all these places are close to my hometown):
When I got home I received the visit of this welcome guest:
Have you received visits like these lately?
Saw a snake this morning. That’s as close as I get to reptiles. Hope you can do the race you have your sights on…
ReplyDeleteLast month, during a workout, I found a harmless snake on the road and I tried to rescue it but my friends were too scared and I had to leave it there.
DeleteGood luck to you and hopefully you'll be running the race you wish to participate in. I never seen a reptile like that before., it probably would scare me. :)
ReplyDeleteHe is a gecko, a common harmless reptile here, very useful because he eats a lot of mosquitoes.
DeleteWe don't have those kind of visitors here in the midwest, but we do have snakes. Not a fan. Nice comeback from your illness and I hope you get to run next weekend!
ReplyDeleteIn the country near my hometown we can find snakes but that "visitor" (Gecko) is common here.
DeleteThank you, I would like to participate but I'm not sure because the start is at 10:30 a.m. and the heat is terrible at that time.
Il tuo ospite è una meraviglia. Sempre in gamba, mi raccomando! 👍😃
ReplyDeleteIn casa ed in giardino trovo spesso dei gechi ma non li disturbo mai per 2 motivi: 1° perché non uccido gli animali e 2° perché si mangia le zanzare!!!!
DeleteThankfully I have never seen a snake up close - they freak me out! glad that you are feeling better and hope you get to run next weekend.
ReplyDeleteI also hope to run next week end but I'm not sure because the start is at 10:30 a.m. when the heat is terrible.
DeleteThat's good you had a nice run.
ReplyDeleteThe scenery is looking good, enjoyed seeing.
Down here we don't have that kind of visitor but some places in Australia they do.
Thank you. A beautiful scenery helps to run better.
DeleteThat "visitor" is useful because eats mosquitoes.
I would love to have a lizard come and visit me, but unfortunately there are none where I live. Hope all the medications work well and that you are able to enter the races that really appeal to you. I think the lizard is a good luck sign!
ReplyDeleteYes, for sure the lizard is a good luck sign. In this period my garden is full of lizards and often they come to visit me at home .... and of course they are welcome.
DeleteAntibiotics and cortisone are no joke! I'm glad that you're on the road to recovery.
ReplyDeleteThey start the race at 10.30am?! That's brutal! In South Africa, all the races start around 6am. In Switzerland, races sometimes start in the afternoon and it gets way too hot!
In fact I feel weak but I need that medical treatment.
DeleteHere In summer races start in late afternoon, I don't understand such decision.
I hope the rounds of antibiotics and cortisone do the trick and you're back to 100% soon. I do hope it works out that you're able to run in your upcoming race.
ReplyDeleteMy recent visitors have been a skink, a chipmunk, and a baby rabbit.
Yes, those medicines do the trick but I feel weaker than usual.
DeleteNice visitors!!!!
glad your health getting better....
ReplyDeletewe have green lizard at our yard
Thank you.
DeleteMy garden is full of green lizards.
Me alegro que estés mejor. que pena que no participaste en esa carrera. Pero has visitado lindos lugares. Te mando un beso.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I hope to get well soon.
DeleteHope you´re fit soon again! No such cute visitors don´t make it here...
ReplyDeleteWhat a pity, such visitors bring joy!
DeleteHope you're completely better again soon. We do get lizards in the UK, but not where I am, sadly. I love seeing them.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Glad you like the lizards and the animals.
DeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteI hope you are better and ready for the next race! The first photo is pretty, a lovely sunrise. The lizard is cute, I do not see them here. Take care and good luck with your race. Have a great weekend!
Thank you.
DeleteUnfortunately now the ferris weel is not anymore in site.
Geckos are common in our corner of the world. They are such a nuisance as they leave their droppings everywhere!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos, Stefano.
And they are common here too.
DeleteHave a good week.
What a way to lead a healthy life with photojournalism!
ReplyDeleteThank you. But I am not a good photographer, I use my smartphone for the photos.
DeleteI also get to see plenty of lizards of all sizes in my yard and around my neighborhood. I even spotted a bobcat while out walking last night. Hang in there with the treatments, the next race will make it all worth while!
ReplyDeleteI have never met a bobcat, I'd like a lot!
DeleteThank you for the encouragement.
