Why Black Knight

The name Black Knight comes from this famous joke in roman slang. A man tells this story:
The Black Knight and the White Knight make a duel and the Black Knight kills the White Knight. Now the White Knight had 3 sons, they challenge the Black Knight to a duel and the Black Knight kills all of them. Now they had 3 sons each and the 9 White Knights challenge the Black Knight to a duel but the Black Knight kills of all them. Now they had 3 sons each and the 27 White Knights challenge the Black Knight to a duel but the Black Knight kills all of them.
Please stop the story, what do you mean, what is the moral?
The moral is: "Don't piss off the Black Knight"!!!!!!!!!

Coming back to life

Running againAfter 10 days of stop and treatment with antibiotics, at last this morning I came back to run even if slowly and for only 8,7 km (5,4 ml).
Part of the route:

However the treatments are not finished because I have to take cortisone for another week.

Unfortunately this problem won't allow me to participate in an interesting 10km race on next sunday but I hope to be ready the following sunday for a distance of km. 5.3 through a demanding route. I think positive considering the short distance.

In these 10 days of rest I took my oldest grandson (14 y.o.) to a meeting of goalkeepers:

I went to Marta where I met a nice little family, Tuscania and Tolfa (all these places are close to my hometown):

When I got home I received the visit of this welcome guest:

Have you received visits like these lately?

  1. Saw a snake this morning. That’s as close as I get to reptiles. Hope you can do the race you have your sights on…

    1. Last month, during a workout, I found a harmless snake on the road and I tried to rescue it but my friends were too scared and I had to leave it there.

    1. He is a gecko, a common harmless reptile here, very useful because he eats a lot of mosquitoes.

  3. We don't have those kind of visitors here in the midwest, but we do have snakes. Not a fan. Nice comeback from your illness and I hope you get to run next weekend!

Thank you, I would like to participate but I'm not sure because the start is at 10:30 a.m. and the heat is terrible at that time.

  7. I would love to have a lizard come and visit me, but unfortunately there are none where I live. Hope all the medications work well and that you are able to enter the races that really appeal to you. I think the lizard is a good luck sign!

    1. Yes, for sure the lizard is a good luck sign. In this period my garden is full of lizards and often they come to visit me at home .... and of course they are welcome.

  8. Antibiotics and cortisone are no joke! I'm glad that you're on the road to recovery.
They start the race at 10.30am?! That's brutal! In South Africa, all the races start around 6am. In Switzerland, races sometimes start in the afternoon and it gets way too hot!

Here In summer races start in late afternoon, I don't understand such decision.

  9. I hope the rounds of antibiotics and cortisone do the trick and you're back to 100% soon. I do hope it works out that you're able to run in your upcoming race.

My recent visitors have been a skink, a chipmunk, and a baby rabbit.
