Running Update - This week was characterized by heavy rains but, between one storm and another, I succeeded in running every other day following my scheduled plan. All the workouts have been challenging because I chose hilly routes including some speed works during the last 3 km. I need to improve my pace in view of the upcoming races. I hope to start the long distance runs on the next week end.
Tuesday: 10,7 km;
Thursday: 10,6 km;
Saturday (Christmas Day): 11,1 km. This was a night run through the suburbs to enjoy the Christmas lights. It was a unreal situation because the city was desert!

ReplyDeleteOh, so sweet.
Thank you. It is a joy to spend time with my grandsons.
DeleteA great review of your year showing us the people you cherish most and a reflection on running. Well done! I hope that 2022 will be a great year for you, and perhaps we will finally be rid of COVID. We can only hope!
ReplyDeleteThank you. And I agree, we can only hope about Covid but in Italy the situation is not good at the moment.
DeleteHappy New Year!
Love your review and the family photos!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know that you did the virtual Comrades 5k in April. So cool that they sent you a shirt and a medal.
One day I would like to do the Comrades ultra. It's on my bucket list.
A friend of mine from South Africa told me about this virtual race and I participated.
DeleteI hope to read soon the recap of your Comrades Ultra!

Happy 2022!!!!
It is fun to look back on a year that was a little crazy. I love how you included all of your family in your photos. Hope you had a Merry Christmas!

So many happy memories from a tough year! I’m LOL at “barkrunner”. I did run with Bandit the first year or so we had him, but after that he was no longer interested.
ReplyDeleteI turn 60 early in 2022. Somehow I thought there was more of a difference in our ages!
Great job getting out between rainstorms.
Maybe Bandit likes another sport. On the contrary Nathan is a good runner.
DeleteYou turn 60 early, but you look younger.
What a nice recap of your year! I was telling my son that you played rugby and your son and grandson play. His team is traveling to Italy this summer to play! I will let you know their plans and if they will be anywhere near you. Of course, it's all dependent on COVID...
ReplyDeleteMy son played for 1 year only, the life of a flanker is very tough.
DeleteIt would be a pleasure to meet your son somewhere in Italy, please let me know.
