Why Black Knight

The name Black Knight comes from this famous joke in roman slang. A man tells this story:
The Black Knight and the White Knight make a duel and the Black Knight kills the White Knight. Now the White Knight had 3 sons, they challenge the Black Knight to a duel and the Black Knight kills all of them. Now they had 3 sons each and the 9 White Knights challenge the Black Knight to a duel but the Black Knight kills of all them. Now they had 3 sons each and the 27 White Knights challenge the Black Knight to a duel but the Black Knight kills all of them.
Please stop the story, what do you mean, what is the moral?
The moral is: "Don't piss off the Black Knight"!!!!!!!!!

Troubles

Troubles - Why this long silence? I spent a bad long period due to the edema in 2 lumbar vertebrae and, later, in a dorsal vertebra. The story began in late February, few days after the booster, when I got a bronchitis and the cough caused a severe pain on my back; the magnetic resonance said: L2 and L3 edema. I needed one whole month of magneto therapy and 2 months of total rest. I came back to running in may but, because a wrong movement, I got the D7 edema too!!!! Another month of rest and, on July 8th, after some long walks, I could run again. The recovery is gradual, I started with 5 km and now I can run 8 km very slowly but this summer heat doesn't help. At the moment the races are only a dream. I must understand that I am getting older and my body is not anymore the same of many years ago!

Bolsena lake - Sometimes I spend with my family some days at the lake of Bolsena:

How is the weather there? Are you under a heat wave? Are you enjoying this summertime?

  2. I'm so sorry to hear that you've had some health issues. I would agree with you that getting older does make things more difficult, physically! Glad to see that you are able to run again and spend time at the lake. Give yourself plenty of time to recover!

  4. It is so hot here, normal for us in the American south. Opening the front door is like opening an oven. Gasp. Water, please! 😃

Hope you get back to running soon. I have had to take it easy because my knee was complaining.

I am on a bit of a blog break. Not sure when I will return.

  5. Troubles indeed! But so good to read one of your posts again and to know that you are back to running.
I just got back from Italy today. We were at a wedding in Monteriggioni near Siena. I got to run there twice and really enjoyed it. They're in bad need of rain, though. I hope they will get some soon.

  6. Welcome back, glad to hear that you recovered and are taking things slowly. Getting old gives us new aches and pains but we have to go slowly. The weather here is not so hot now but we will be getting some next week. Take care and stay cool.

  7. So sorry to hear that, it sounds awful. I'm glad you're getting better now - do take care. We had two days of very high temperatures here in the UK and of course our houses are arranged to keep IN the heat so we had to work hard to keep cool!

  8. So nice to see you posting again. I had decided I'd pop in just once more; as I thought I was bugging you with all my waving each time I made my blog rounds. Slow and easy, no more injuries please. None of us are as young as we used to be...hard to admit that sometimes when we try to exercise. Sometimes we just over do. Take care of you.

  9. Sounds like a very rough way you had to go through, and glad you came out fine.
I love the heat, but 27C at 09:30 screams for holiday! At a lake or such!
Instead I have to use my brain at work. But I mostly love it.
Hope you´re back to happy running soon. I quit training in this weather, the balcony it is!

  10. Yes, the summer heat doesn't help especially when one is cycling or running. It is pleasant here in Chicago now.

  12. Hope you are on the mend. It's been wet and cool here, average temperatures from -2 to 12 or so. Signs that Spring is on the way though.

  13. I knew you had lots of set backs, but seeing the time line I can understand your frustration. Maybe walking instead of running is a good idea. Nice spot for family time. Take care. I LOVE the summer and heat...I just try to do things a bit slower or in shorter bursts of time. But, here fall is almost on us which makes me sad. Flowers are going by the way side. Shorter days, darker days will move in........Groan.
