Why Black Knight

The name Black Knight comes from this famous joke in roman slang. A man tells this story:
The Black Knight and the White Knight make a duel and the Black Knight kills the White Knight. Now the White Knight had 3 sons, they challenge the Black Knight to a duel and the Black Knight kills all of them. Now they had 3 sons each and the 9 White Knights challenge the Black Knight to a duel but the Black Knight kills of all them. Now they had 3 sons each and the 27 White Knights challenge the Black Knight to a duel but the Black Knight kills all of them.
Please stop the story, what do you mean, what is the moral?
The moral is: "Don't piss off the Black Knight"!!!!!!!!!

One stop and the ghost of Matilda

The Stop - On Wednesday while I was running uphill, I felt a buttock pain but I did not stop the workout and covered the distance of 10.6 km.

I immediately understood that it is the piriformis syndrome. This problem can happen because in 2007 I fractured my femur. The doctor prescribed 4 days of rest, 7 days of anti-inflammatories and said  that, during these days, I can walk.

Because of the injury this week I have only run 12,8 km (8 m) on monday and 10,6 km (6,6 m) on wednesday.  I don’t give up and on monday I will run again!!!!!

Matilda's ghost - In consideration I cannot run,  I made the decision to go for a walk in Tarquinia because I have read that the Municipality reopened the ancient Matilda of Canossa Tower which dominates, from the top of Tarquinia, the whole Marta river valley. According a legend, the Matilda's ghost often appears at night inside the tower and cries.

Do you know ghost stories?

Did you see the ghost? Oh, I love such... "adventures".
I love watching "Supernatural". Scary. I went into a "nut house" once a former asylum,... scary-fun. Just before it was to be torn down.

    1. No I didn't see the ghost but she appears late and at 06:30 pm the tower is closed.
I remember a nice Ghost Tour by night in Edinburgh.

I hope too because if I don't run I feel bad: this is the so called "Runners' illness".

  5. Ohoh, Stefano! A good thing you caught it early and immediately went to the doctor. I hope it will heal soon!

And more ghosts! Haha, after seeing so many monsters last weekend, I think I won't even mind Matilda's ghost!

  6. How is the piriformis related to the former femur fracture? Sounds like you have a phantom in your leg... just going with the ghost them you've presented here, lol

    1. You are right that was a Matilda's trick. However from a medical book: "Piriformis syndrome can be caused by several causes, which include anatomical changes in the muscle-nerve relationship or trauma to the gluteal region, such as a car accident or a fall".

  7. Sorry about the piriformis - I had issues with mine after running in the gutter during a marathon and the treatment involved a very painful massage! Hope you feel better soon.

  9. I battled piriformis issues in the past...major pain in the buttocks! I was able to continue running, but my range of motion was compromised (on the affected side), and it was so frustrating!

    1. I hope to solve the situation soon. This morning I tried to run but after 15 minutes I had to come back home: too weak because of the anti inflammatories.

  11. Well, today is Monday so I'm hoping you were able to run pain-free. Injuries are the worst!!!!! Let's hope this was a short one for you.
I don't believe in ghosts! But I would love to walk around Tarquinia- it looks beautiful.

    1. I have run pain free but I stopped the workout after 15 minutes because I felt too weak (anti inflammatories fault).
Tarquinia is wonderful with Etruscan and medieval heritage: a lot of interesting sites to visit.

  12. Sorry to hear about the piriformis issue. I dealt with that a few years ago and it was so annoying because it restricted my movement. Luckily with PT it healed - I hope it will go away for you soon.

  13. I am sorry about the pain in the butt. That's definitely not fun, but I know you will continue running!

When we were in New Orleans a few years back, we visited the very famous cemeteries (which we didn't do on our first visit there). There are ghost tours, but we didn't do that. We preferred the food tours!

The food tour is the best but also the ghost tour is not so bad. I did it in Edinburgh by night and I liked it.
